RIVETED Launch Party

Morgan Childs of Moana Events created a chic all-white atmosphere at the hot Chinatown nightclub thirtyninehotel for our exclusive VIP launch party on June 23, 2007. The team from Paul Mitchell Ulupono Academy, led by head stylist Anu, worked wonders with the hair and makeup for the models and the designer.

At 6:30 the guests entered and had photos taken at the step-and-repeat, with the logos of RIVETED, our partner thirtyninehotel, and our sponsor Bacardi Limon. They relaxed with Bacardi Limon cocktails (Limon Drop, Limon & Coke, Limon & Cranberry) and Memoirs' gourment appetizers. At 7 we unveiled the runway show for the Debut Fall 2007 Collection. Our models (Amy Gates, Christine Miller, Katharin Dombrow, Nicole Thommes, Jennifer Y. Silva, Maya Heacock, Jessica Whitfield, and Cristina de la Diosa) rocked the runway to The Lisps' moody and haunting single, Pepper Spray. After the show mini-desserts including A Star is Born and Coconut Maven by Sugar Rush by Frances, were served. The guests also were presented with luxury gift bags full of goodies such as The Daily Mini Magazine, a Bacardi Limon shot glass, a Paul Mitchell hair product, the Lisps' debut CD "The Vain, The Modest, and The Dead," and Shiseido's Bio-Performance Super Revitalizer Cream.

The event was later featured that night on KHON2's 10:00 evening news, and photos from the event appeared in SMART and Pacific Edge Magazines. VIP guests in attendance included celebrity photographer Russell Tanoue, 2Couture designer Takeo, Ala Moana Shopping Center Marketing Manager Jasmine Tso, Honolulu Advertiser Fashion Writer Paula Rath, SMART Magazine Editor Molly Watanabe, and supercw.com blogger Christa Wittmier.
